Muscle-relaxing injections are a type of non-permanent cosmetic treatment, which can be used to effectively treat fine-to-medium lines and wrinkles by relaxing the underlying muscles in the skin.

What happens?
All patients are offered a topical anaesthetic cream which is applied to the treatment area(s) for 30 minutes. This helps to minimise any discomfort during the treatment.
How long does it take?
Treatment time is usually between 15-30 minutes depending on the area(s) selected.
Is there any downtime?
There is little or no downtime associated with these treatments. There may be mild redness following treatment which will quickly subside.
Your treatment will be discussed with you during your consultation and medical consent.
How frequently do I need them?
Depending on the area treated, results usually last between 3-4 months as the movement in the muscle comes back over time.
We advise all new patients to return for a dose review three weeks after their initial treatment to ensure the best results.
